Here at Taryn M Consulting, I believe in inspiring organizations and people to live and work to their fullest potential. I have extensive experience leading teams and helping them to realize their capability by empowering them to succeed. I excel at identifying gaps in current existing work or team processes and utilize those gap opportunities to evolve them into organizational strengths.  

I have more than twenty years' experience in the energy industry specializing in professional administrative roles, including Human Resources, Program Management, Distance Learning and Executive Support. 

​My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.  My professional certifications include the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP), Certified Professional in Disability Management (CPDM), as well as a certificate in Contract Management from the University of California-Irvine Extension Program.   I have completed countless industry-centric courses and training which bring added value to my work for you!


Taryn will identify the issue or opportunity, find solutions, gather feedback, adjust as needed and deliver on time and budget, all while communicating her progress each step of the way. Taryn is also fun and upbeat so she is a great addition to any team!

My professional life as a consultant started in March of 2020.  In the midst of a Global Pandemic,  I set off to start a new career back in HR, leaving behind my role as Learning Program Manager behind.  After two-days on the job, I found myself unemployed.  At the time, I was in panic mode, now I look back and remind myself it was kismet.

After reaching out to my former colleagues, friends, and acquaintances the journey of TMC began.  I started off updating job descriptions, providing a little virtual assistance & Zoom meeting support, which led me to reviewing and updating policies & employee handbooks.  From there I was offered the role as an Interim Director of HR and Risk Management for a special district in Oregon, along with updating and creating a market based compensation program for a water utility in Southern Oregon and facilitating Diversity Equity and Inclusion Conversations for an electric utility on the coast. 


I am not sure where my journey will head to next but I am looking forward to the opportunity to connect with you.
